The Château Ferrande dates back to the nineteenth century. Owned by Admiral Delnaud-Emeury, the Chateau was bought in 1992 after sixteen years of farming.

Located in the town of Castres-Gironde, the vineyard of Château Ferrande is at the heart of 82.77 hectares of the local area (77.5 acres of red grapes, 5.27 hectares of white vines).
The soil at Chateau Ferrande is composed primarily of sand and gravel often with a pebbly surface.
The ground is conducive to rapid maturity and production of stylish and elegant wine, and is densely planted to obtain grapes with a high potential for flavour and smoothness while maintaining a good concentration.
